Our client a leading international manufacturer is looking for an experienced Accountant II to join their growing team! The ideal candidate has both manufacturing and SOX experience!
Job Description:
- Prepare financial analysis and assist in development of financial forecasts and closings.
- Collect financial data and ensure conformity with corporate policies and procedures.
- Prepare operations reports for presentation to management.
- Analyze operational financial data, investigate variances and investigate their impact on planned objectives.
- Maintain compliance with Eaton’s accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements (e.g. SOX, internal audit, E&Y, etc.).
- Maintain and analyze monthly entries to budgets and balance sheet accounts which include the processing of accounting entries and the analysis of changes for accuracy and correctness of account distribution.
- Assist with the preparation of profit plan, strategic plan, operating reviews, and reporting of financial data and analysis.
- Support and manage revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX and external audit inquiries.
- Focus on continuous business process improvements, challenge current processes and procedures and implement improvements where possible.
- Furnish timely communication to the Controller on business issues, providing supporting documentation and recommending alternative courses of action.
- Ideal candidate has a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Comfortable with technology and has a strong working knowledge of MS office suite and ERP system(s)

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting/financial analysis
- Must have working experience with MS Access database
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA/MBA/CMA
- Working experience with an ERP system, SAP, Encore, and/or Hyperion
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Experience working for a manufacturing company
- Experience working with cross functional teams
Pay: $31.00/hour
Shift: M-F, 8am-5pm
